Frequently asked questions
How does reusable moving bin rental work?
You choose a package by home size, we deliver sanitized bins to your door, you pack and move over your rental week, and then we pick up the empty bins. Delivery and pickup are free across Central and North Jersey, and dollies come with every package.
Most rentals run one week; need longer? Extra weeks are $1 per tote per week (example: 20 totes for 2 weeks = $95). See the full five-step process.
How much does it cost to rent moving bins in NJ?
Weekly packages are $75 for a studio (20 bins), $140 for a 1–2 bedroom (40 bins), and $189 for a 3+ bedroom home (60 bins). Delivery, pickup, dollies, and a damage waiver for normal wear are all included — no hidden fees.
How many bins do I need for my move?
As a rule of thumb: 20 bins for a studio or dorm, 40 for a 1–2 bedroom apartment, and 60 for a 3+ bedroom house. Book lovers, collectors, and home offices should size up; minimalists can often size down.
When in doubt, size up — extra bins are $5/week. Read the sizing guide.
Are reusable bins better than cardboard boxes?
For most moves, yes. Bins are sturdier (no crushing in rain), need no tape or assembly, stack securely, and cost less than an equivalent set of quality cardboard once you count tape and supplies. Environmentally, one rental keeps cardboard boxes out of the waste stream.
Are the bins clean?
Bins are cleaned between rentals. Bins with cracks or damaged latches are retired on the spot and never go back into circulation.
They arrive fresh and ready for kitchens, nurseries, and closets.
Which towns do you deliver to?
We deliver free across Central and North New Jersey, including New Brunswick, Edison, Princeton, Jersey City, Hoboken, Woodbridge, Piscataway, Newark, Elizabeth, Somerset, Morristown, and Red Bank — plus surrounding towns.
Just outside the area? Ask us — nearby towns are often doable for a small fee. Full town list.
How far in advance should I book?
One week is ideal; two weeks for month-end weekends and Rutgers move-in season (late August/early September). We can often accommodate 2–3 day turnarounds — just ask.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
Not necessarily. Leave placement instructions in your order (driveway, garage, leasing office) and we'll stage bins as directed. For apartments, having the freight elevator booked keeps delivery smooth.
What if I need the bins for longer than a week?
Need the bins longer? Extra weeks are $1 per tote per week (example: 20 totes for 2 weeks = $95). Request the extension before your scheduled pickup date.
What happens if a bin is damaged or lost?
Normal wear — scuffs and everyday use — is covered by the included damage waiver. Lost bins are $25 each; deliberately damaged bins are assessed at replacement cost. Cracked or broken bins are retired, never re-rented.

Do you offer bins for offices or commercial moves?
Yes. Offices love bins: uniform sizes, stackable, no tape, and fast pack/unpack around business hours. We deliver to offices across Central and North Jersey; the uniform bins make multi-floor moves easy to run yourself.
How is bin rental more eco-friendly than recycled cardboard?
Even recycled cardboard is single-use: it's manufactured, shipped, used once, and reprocessed. Our bins are cleaned and reused before being recycled at end of life, so the per-move footprint is a fraction — plus zero tape waste and no box-manufacturing emissions per move.
How do I place an order?
Fill out the interest form on any page with your package, delivery date, rental weeks, delivery address, name, and phone — or call (516) 587-4336. We'll follow up to confirm your order. Payment is discussed on the follow-up call.
How do I pay for my rental?
Payment is arranged on the follow-up call after you submit the interest form. We don't take payment on the website.
Do you move the loaded bins to my new home?
No. We deliver empty bins to your door and pick up the empty bins after you've unpacked. You — or your movers — transport the packed bins to your new place.
Will my movers move plastic bins?
Most moving companies will move packed plastic bins, but policies vary — confirm with your mover before moving day. Our bins are standard 27-gallon latching totes that stack securely in a truck.
Is it better to rent or buy moving bins?
For a one-time move, renting is usually the better deal: you pay only for the week you need, with delivery and pickup included, and you don't have to store bulky totes afterward. Buying makes more sense if you move often or need long-term storage.
Do I need tape or assembly?
No. The bins have snap-shut latching lids — no tape, no box building, no assembly.
Where do you leave the bins on delivery?
At your door — house, apartment, or office. If your building has specific delivery instructions (parking, lobby, leasing office), add them in the notes on the order form.
Can I use the bins for things other than moving?
Yes. The same packages work for office relocations, storage, staging, and renovations — anywhere you need sturdy, stackable containers.
